TeenSounds Northwest
Under the direction of Artistic Director Dr. Tyler Kimmel, TeenSounds is a vibrant, encouraging, diverse ensemble whose focus is to serve and uplift our South King County community through singing! Our choir is excited to perform music from many traditions, including classical, pop, broadway, and folk music from many cultures and languages. We are thrilled to offer an ensemble that features 11-19 year-old singers with a variety of talent.
AUDITIONS FOR TEENSOUNDS NW 2026-2027 SEASON
Calling all singers from the ages of 11 to 19!
Auditions are from 6:00-6:30pm on Tuesday, September 8 in the John Knox Presbyterian Church Chapel
Please fill out the audition form below.
Singers should bring a water bottle to auditions to stay hydrated. No preparation necessary! Please review our rehearsal and concert times before auditioning to be sure you can commit to our season.
Session 1:
Tuesdays from September 15-December 8 from 6:00- 7:30pm in the John Knox Presbyterian Church Chapel
Dress Rehearsal Schedule: December 9, 10, and 11 (Times TBD, in the evening) at the Highline Performing Arts Center
ChristmasSounds 2027 Performances: Saturday, December 13 and Sunday, December 14 at 2pm. Call time 1pm for both days.
Session 2:
Tuesdays from January 12 – May 11 from 6:00- 7:30pm in the John Knox Presbyterian Church Chapel
Dress Rehearsal Schedule: May 12, 13, and 14 (Times TBD, in the evening) at the Highline Performing Arts Center
Spring 2027 Performance: Saturday, May 15 at 2pm. Call time at 1pm.
***All singers will need to purchase nice dressy, all-black, concert attire for ChristmasSounds. Clothing options will be clarified in rehearsal.
Membership fee is $200 for the year! $100 for the fall session and $100 for the spring session. If you are in need of financial assistance, please contact us!

This concert features a rich variety of holiday music, from traditional carols to contemporary favorites, all presented with surround-sound voices in perfect harmony. It’s a fantastic way to immerse yourself in the festive joy and experience the talent of the local community.

You do not need to have sung before to audition for TeenSounds! We want to encourage you and help you grow in your voice! To schedule an audition, please fill out this form. Auditions are Tuesday, October 7. They will be in 10 minute time slots starting at 5pm at John Knox Presbyterian Church. You do not need to prepare anything for the audition, just come with water and a willingness to sing!
